Facts about the "Elbe"
The "Elbe" comes from the Czech Republic (latain.: Labe) and is 1091.47 km long.
She is Germany's second longest river, which touches the seven federal states: Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Brandenburg, Lower Saxony, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg.
To familiar waters within its catchment area includes the River "Moldau", the river "Spree", the "Saale" and the "Müritz".
Marked in the upper reaches of the uplands, it follows two river valleys in the course of the North German lowlands.
